A first attempt at incubating shipped fertilised eggs. I placed them in the incubator Thursday, March 2nd about 19:00 hrs central time. They are called Silkies and are from a website called My Pet Chicken. I discovered My Pet Chicken from reading Martha Stewart’s blog where she writes about her chickens.

I am doing my best to use antique salvage and reclaimed cabinetry and materials to design and build a modern kitchen that fits with the late 19th century character. I have not removed any walls, closets, radiators or windows in the designing of this kitchen. I am attempting to make the most of the current footprint of the home.
